Description

The owners of this unit at the Pioneer Park Condominiums lived in it for several years when they first moved to Bend. They loved its proximity to downtown, and remodeled it not to feel like a rental, but to feel like home. This is Unit 180/181, which we've nicknamed "Drake Your Money Maker." It features slate floors, tiled showers, granite countertops, open shelving and full-sized kitchen appliances.

The condo is divided into two separate spaces with a communicating door — a living room with kitchen, and a master bedroom. The living room side has a gas fireplace and a sofa. The bedroom side has a comfy king bed and two closets. Both sides of the condo have their own full bathrooms, one for him and her. Each side has a private balcony overlooking the property.

This condo is advertised as sleeping two adults but there's a futon in the living room, allowing you to sleep up to four. Since futons are not known for their comfort, please only consider putting children on it. Please let us know if you plan to bring more than two guests.

This condo's location cannot be understated. It's just a few blocks from the heart of downtown, maybe a 10-minute walk. It's also two football fields away from the Deschutes River and a peaceful river trial. The downtown area features several public parks. The condo is directly adjacent to Pioneer Park. Also nearby is Brooks Park, Harmon Park and, of course, the very large and popular Drake Park.

The nice thing about 180/181 "Drake Your Money Maker" is that you don't need to drive your vehicle once you arrive. There is free parking at the facility. Once here, you can walk to everything. Bend is famous for its breweries and you can stumble home from several of them. Downtown Bend is full of restaurants, pubs and locally owned boutiques. The very last Blockbuster Video in the world is about a 15-minute walk. We're 22 miles from Mount Bachelor.
